Piotr Niemczyk – former anticommunist opposition activist and political prisoner. Co-founder of the “Wolność i Pokój” (Freedom and Peace) Movement. Journalist and publisher of the “Tygodnik Mazowsze” (underground opposition weekly newspaper). From 1990 till 1994 Director of the Analyses and Information Bureau and Deputy Director of the Intelligence Bureau in the Office for State Protection (Urząd Ochrony Państwa). Between 2000 and 2001 advisor to the Home Minister – organizer of the National Center of the Penitentiary Records. In 2001 serves as a Vice Minister of Economics. From 1998 until 2015, with the break between 2001 and 2007, Mr. Niemczyk was the expert of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee for the Special Services. Currently – independent consultant and methods of analyzing and information processing lecturer at the universities.
